Carl (Ed)'s Story

I graduated from Western Michigan University in 1966 and was commissioned as a Army 2 LT in the MSC the same year. I went to Vietnam in 1968 and was the medical operation office/PL for the 1/7 Cavalry, 1st Air Cavalry Division. I worked for 2 insurance companies in MI, CA & CO and retired in 2005 as a VP in the Claim Department of National Farmers Union Property & Casualty Company. I have be...Expand for more
en married twice with the current marriage lasting 30 years. Between my wife and I we have 5 children, 29 grand and great grand children who live in OR, CA, CO to MI. I have terminal cancer related to my Vietnam service (Agent Orange) and I'm rated 100% disabled by the VA. My wife and I enjoy the grandchildren as well as traveling and bring involved with the 1st Cavalry Division Association.
